Create & Care: a Collective Healing Project
Adress your experience in this world within a community that allows you to feel seen, heard, and held.
Collective Healing
The rising numbers of mental illnesses and the constant stressors of daily life, political events and ongoing discrimination call for a change of how we view mental health. I invite you ti shift from an individual point of view - where your pain is viewed individually - to a collective healing approach. When we all feel the same way, isn’t it about time, we heal our wounds together?
Collective healing means that we can find ways to support and uplift each other, knowing that tóur pain is shared.
The loss of community
Individualism has you focused strongly on yourself and has tought you that you do not have to be in connection with people anymore unless it’s a “usefull connection” from a capitalist point of view. And yes, community can be frustrating. It comes with conflicts and is not always easy. But it’s vital. It secured our survival since forever. Solidarity is what keeps us safe in a world, that becomes more and more unpredictable.
We shape our future
Art has always been a powerful tool for healing and resistance. It helps us express pain, transform emotions, and imagine new possibilities. Through art, we can reclaim our stories and build the world we need. Let’s create something new. Healing starts with us. And it is just as contageous as pain and trauma.
Create & Care
This monthly community gathering will happen on monday evenings. Each session will center around a different topic—addressing the ways trauma, discrimination, and resistance shape us, while using artistic expression as a tool for healing. This space is for you, for us, for healing. A session lasts 90 minutes and is closed with a small exhibition, where you are invited to share your work within the intimate group, find ways to resonate with other people’s art work and connect on a deeper level.
